I finally made it to a meeting.Things turned upside down for me for a couple months. But normalcy has returned. Our January meeting is a busy one. We hash out all our activities for the year and build out our calendar. Discuss upcoming projects and things we would like to do.
We had twelve people present at the meeting including one new one, Jack W8GPF.
Jack lives just up the road and is a QRP and CW guy. We sure can use another CW op.If you hear Jack on the air, Give him a hello and welcome. The Remodel of the EOC is underway. Some nice changes are in the works, If you have not come to a meeting in a while you need to stop in and see whats going on.
We will be hosting test sessions for all classes of Amateur Radio License. Those dates are not set yet but I will update when it is.
We still operate Field Day and the Ohio QSO party, Help provide comms for bike events and parades. We have a couple transmitter(fox) hunts every year.
If your not currently active and would like to be, Or you just want to say HI, Come visit us on the first Sunday of the month. We have an ARES (Amateur Radio Emergency Service) meeting at 1630 (4:30pm) and our normal club meeting at 1800 (6:00pm).
Some Hams are only interested in Emergency Preparedness and or weather Spotting. We won’t shame you, Come to the ARES meeting and leave after that if you like. Some are not interested in ARES, Skip the first meeting and come by at 6pm. But we’d love to have you for both.
